And again I am silent

Today out of misery, not by accident

Have I chosen wrong, really?

Concerning human progress and failure.

Since the year 2000 the technique and science seems to have made huge leaps forward, regrettably this applies to an even greater extent for ignorance, incompetence and mendacity.

Do I win whilst losing

For just like Jacob, Avraham´s child
I too struggle with You 

Is this life a battle

One I do not want to win

But then, my beautiful earth

Do You protect and heal  

In the end all that was wounded

By the evil material man

Even now there are monsters

Destroyers of all the beautiful and good

Who think themselves overlord

And already You have released

Your angels who by sword and fire

Entice Faust to his coup

Many follow a fake president

A little emperor or a false priest

They battle for my blood

The falsehood on their brow

The soul that was squandered long ago

My nature not for sale

My struggle I have lost

Voluntarily, for my loss will protect me

From the rulers who perish 

With His Word, and return,

Will everything of this world be annulled

To preserve earth, my nature

Gladly I lose like Jacob

I wrestle with the Imperishable for eternity

Thus I lose and receive 

Me will be given life

A plant and animal realm, heaven untouched

A rise between the stars

And still awake I realize

That I have never struggled with You
