December 21.

The best of today

December twenty-first

Is what follows hereafter

This longest, darkened night

It too will fade and wither

The days will lengthen

Spring will come

Because She Loved

She made him make his house beautiful
She made it into a home
She made his life bearable, even liveable , just loveable

A cynic's thought.

I don't believe in old souls

I do believe in lost souls

I am still looking for mine

Monday, 9 December 2019

A three-lined eulogy.

She was mine, always,

And I evermore hers, all these years,

Mine she was, my all.

Dutch translation:

Zij was mijn, voorgoed,

En ik eeuwig de hare, zovele jaren,

Mijn was zij, mijn alles.

A little prophet's wrinkles

The wrinkles
between my eyes
are there from frowning

not amused at what I saw

The wrinkles
on my forehead
are from marvelling

astounded at that what I saw

The wrinkles
at the corners of my mouth
are from laughing

scornfully at this society that I saw

The wrinkles
at the corners of my eyes
are from smiling

at you my friends and one true love I saw

The wrinkles
that are all mine
are the finest of lines

between my tears and all the wrong that I saw

When She Dances For Her Beloved (Haiku)

In a whirling dance
Her mind and body as one
Spiraling upward

A Collective Thought. A Haiku.

I am wandering
To find a sanctuary
I am wondering

I am wondering
Where to find sanctuary
I am wandering

NB.
At first I thought the title must be `A Jewish Thought´ (i.e. the wandering people) then I thought in more popular terms it should be `A Pilgrim's Thought´ (but that would give it too much of an unbidden religious content) so I considered an even more general term `A People's Thought´ but I decided in the end that the thought would probably go beyond our human limitations and that any life form will, at one point or another, feel this sense of urgency and threat so I chose this title: `A Collective Thought´. The lines speak for themselves.

Where it never is winter

I want to live in a place
that knows no winter

I do not need winter
for
I carry it with me in my heart

Forever Always

It is frozen
and
snowflakes drift
on liquid ice
through
my chilled aortas

When I cry
I bleed icicles as
little frosty teardrops

(That explode on your warm breast)

No, no I do not need winter
I will my cold core
in that embrace (of yours)
that knows of no winter

But what if my chronic chill
would have a melt down
like a dehydrated glacier

Would it just
vanish
or would it just
desiccate
that smile of yours

You, who knows not of winter....

The little * ones or the Konya riddles, Xtended version

Is a raindrop capable to start an oasis?

¿And will your teardrops fill God's?

**
We learned nothing of that life therefore Gabriel spake to the descendant
Alas Ali too was misunderstood and his life was threatened
How many messengers must I send, how many lives yet to bear

¡There will be no more sacrosanctity, the era of judges has come!

***
Bye my pretty girl I love you like my dearest brother
For you are too good and too beautiful to ever be my sister
You gave life to my desert and were like a net to catch my fall

¡Utter interlocking souls transcend friendship, enamourment & bloodties!

****
From Jesus to Buddha and back to You
Buddha rested against a tree and used its roots as an armchair
Jesus cursed a tree to barrenness and died on the wood

¡And one has given his life for all,
while the other focused solely on himself.
Hence our route home is incontestable!

*****
I don’t want to die cross
I don’t understand why
I am at all so angry
Do you?

The answer is: While gravity constraints movement and growth.

******
While a heart beats
To pump blood
And the body dysfunctions
Or lights on other fluid
Of what then consists the lifeblood? (1)

¿If the soul houses in blood
and the spirit weighs a massive 21 grams

                                                                          are they comparable?

(1)    My soul.

The Boy Named Tamás

The young boy
in our street
is a lonely child
He is loved
by his mother
and his granny
But he is alone
has no friends
He rides fast
a child's scooter
Three hundred yards
to the left
and back again
Never to the right
where the dogs bark
He looks like a shy boy
but friendly
He does not realize
that the wheels
of his little scooter
on the pavement
can be heard
inside the house
Would the boy change
his route if he knew
Could he change
his lonely rythm
on two tiny wheels
Or would that leave
him even more lonely
A boy in solitude
roling 300 yards
to the left
And I could never
ask
him to stop....

The Watcher Of Outer And Inner Worlds

I look at this world
and
its transgressions

I watch captivated
and
save the events

I have no part in it
I know not how
Nor do I want to
It does not fit my role

My cameo is to see
and
register and judge

I lead my life
and
live it simple

The complications
happen outside me
though
my mind is complicated
enough on its own

It knows of sins of sins
and
of tresspasses
and
those too will be judged

Yet my sins
are
my errors
are
to be solved by another
watcher
in me

My task is to watch
and
when I am opened up
and
all my data of sight
and
sound and feel

Yes feel

All will be judged
and
all will be weighed

All these 21 grams
of
careful collected data

That I've watched

Haiku Variations. The not so gentle kind.

Mankind is a strange word

Kind refers to species, not gentle, since

Man is hardly ever kind

A Life To Be Prepared For The After. A Novel - Poem, Episode One

A BLACK TIE UNLEASHED

There were days in his past

He had to wear a tuxedo

As did he dress tailor-made

The black tie was obligatory

The dinner invitation said so

It’s the uniform of wealth

For those who see themselves

As such opulent and powerful

The aged man at the door

Bowed lightly and welcoming

He bowed back with reverence

And replied a softly spoken

´Thank you kind master´

The aged seneschal

Answered in surprise

‘Sir, I’m your servant´

´The gentlemen are inside

Awaiting your presence´

He smiled as the old continued

´They will you as theirs

As a praetorian safeguard´

He nodded anew speaking

´Again I choose my own….,

….Those black ties are not´

The steward's eyes lit

´Spoken as a true master

One who chooses to serve

As our Rabbi did before´

The old man opened

Warmly the entry door

And foretold respectfully

´This will be your last

Supper amongst them

They fear infinitude´

The boardroom lit with

Black ties and gowns

Showing off vanity

Unfettered he walked

Towards chosen modesty

Ending society’s chains

Homeless - Houseless - Immortal

- Tales From the house of Rumi -

Some people are homeless
but they do have a house.

Some people are houseless
but they do have a home.

Some people have neither
a house nor a home.
- They are lost -

Some people have both
a house and a home.
- They are save(d) -

And then some do their uttermost
to wreck other peoples homes.
- They are doomed -

And some live in a house that's a home
just at the wrong address.
- They are estranged -

And there are those amongst us
who look up and hunger.

And two remember like you and me
that there are four immortals.

- They walk on earth and sleep in heaven -

From The Home Of Rumi

The Doormat That Said Welcome.

When Shams entered Rumi´s house

he changed the position of the doormat

Rumi smiled radiantly at his friend

and he spoke to the attendees,

students and some men of importance,

"Look Shams welcomed us to see the world"

Shams still stood in the doorway

he met the glare of the envious company

As always Shams was not impressed

the rebel in me winked at Rumi

and looking at Shams I said

"a cynic would see it an invitation,

welcoming your visitors to leave"

The other guests muttered angrily at me

Suddenly Shams was next to me

and warmly kissed my brow and sat down,

speaking clearly for all to hear

"the three of us can discuss the true meaning

of the blessed verses when they have gone"

At that Rumi tried, in vain, to hide a smile….

Artificial Intelligence

On AI
….
Yes! Artificial Intelligence.
….
Finally someone defined us
humans for what we are:
Artificial Intelligence.
….
Uhh
….
The cherub Einstein not included
….
A synonym for AI would be AOL it's this:
an Algorithm On Legs
it walks
it talks
it eats
it drinks
it sleeps
it works
it destroys
it reproduces
it makes selfies
….
The only difference between the two is this:
one is robotic and has no feelings
while the other also lacks intelligence 😑
