Haiku Variations. Would Death Be More Friendly.

While you were adjusting time
A thought of being in control of
Petty lives, one joyous party

Waiting for it to begin
And not seeing the end and waste
Nearing, now within reach - just

A blink of the eye
Of the storm that dawns on mankind
Swirling you up to crash

Into the nothingness you embraced
Of lives of rushing after neoteric sensations
Unique uniformity of masses united

Damning earth due to insatiability
This greater need that drives you all
Having more than your neighbour

Flaunting silicon boobs and nates
Blown out of proportion, black and white
Dulled to grey and harlotry

And you, me, no better
The wealthy and poor interchangeable in selfishness
Or do you not hoard

Wishing the end to come
Watching, judging and not shutting it down
Would death be more friendly
