Bethlehem's Star, 20&20.

 *

And once again

the star of Bethlehem

will shine in the firmament.

*

And I have surpassed

these twenty centuries

curiously awaiting.....

*

And will we

this time

my Master

end the agony

*

Though I gladly

took up your cross

and carried it for you

through these streets

*

It's not your cross

that saddened or tired

but these thousands

odd years without

you, me

not walking beside u

and sharing your cross

*

As for you

I burned all my bridges

to a past

that I should torch

*

But for one

that you once

tossed to me

as a lifeline

*

The she that

shyly but surely

crawled under my skin

nestled in my heart

*

The she that

made me complete

these last days

of the twice a thousand

year wait

*

To master the

second coming

of Bethlehem's star

to shine on me

and on the

dozens and twelve
