On that endless Chinese wall

the people had written

- limit me not -

it said

- don't make us hate you -

they'd engraved

- what you fear ruler, is near -

the stones cried out

- let us have our dignity -

the ancient walls themselves wailed

and

his eyes read these words

and he looked as ever

inside his heart

where 

he locked these wishes

and nodded wisely

to the future
