The Book Of Sleep
I used to have a bed side book
As did a box of cigarettes
Lie on the side table
Nowadays I fall asleep quick
I pray, I touch the pillow
And am comatose
Yet sleep does not last
A hole in the night
Little duration
Dreams disturb the rest
I need not longer
Much more
Since expiration closes
In on my bones
And muscles
The spine bent painful
Practicing to suit
The six planks
Ah, but death´s decay
Enters only the body
Will skip my soul
And fallen I am alive
More than before
When just flesh
Bury me in your book
Let sleep take over
A spirit unchained
