Where we have ended

The boy was born 
again as
a happy child
and straightforward
first loving all
men as if family
and 
animals
and earth
alike

One day 
after facing society
the boy told 
a friend
that he could
never be happy
if not every
family member
would be happy

He said 
that he'd do 
all it would take
to reach that goal
even
if it meant
he had to kill
either his friend 
or himself 
if it would be 
them that blocked
the global happiness

And the friend believed him

Now the boy grew up
and the years went by
while the world grew 
even older
as he died a little
at each transgression
of his family
against their neighbours
he died a little more
at the offenses
of his family
against the animals
and he died again 
at their trespasses
against mother earth
anew he died
and again and
with each death
a bit of his shy love 
for the family vanished
until he had no more

And from afar
his father
watched him die
couldn't stop
his child from
breaking down
the loving father
spoke heartbroken
to himself
they these children
hurt my child 
I will have no more
no pity on them
they're no longer family
I know them not
and with that
our father left us

And this friend understood
